Automated Mechanisms for Data Discovery and Integration

The 17th General Online Research (GOR 2017) Conference

Posted by Edwin Yaqub (RapidMiner) on March 15, 2017

RapidMiner researchers, Dr. Edwin Yaqub and David Arnu participated in the General Online Research conference (GOR) in Berlin, held by HTW Berlin (University of Applied Sciences) from March 15-17, 2017. Their poster submission was entitled Automated Mechanisms to Discover and Integrate Data from Web-based Tabular Collections [1], which was based on the “Data Search for Data Mining” extension. The GOR has a well-established history as it takes place nearly annually since 1997. The conference addresses multi-disciplinary topics but has special interests towards market research. Throughout the two days event, RapidMiner researchers used the opportunity to spread awareness on how private and public tabular collections can be exploited by means of automated discovery and integration methods being developed under the DS4DM project.
